姒 <名> (形声。从女,以声。本义:古代兄弟之妻年长者) 同本义。古以兄妻为姒,弟妻为娣;相谓亦曰姒。弟妻称兄妻为姒 [wife of husband's elder brother] 娣妇谓长妇为姒妇。――《尔雅·释亲》 吾不以妾为姒。――《左传·成公十一年》。注:“昆弟之妻,相谓为姒。” 少妇谓长妇曰姒,言其先来已所当法似也。――《释名·释亲属》 又如:姒娣(妯娌);姒妇(古代弟之妻称兄之妻为姒妇) 古代同夫诸妾称长者曰姒,幼者曰娣 [(of sisters who married same husband) the elder one] 女子同出,谓先生为姒,后生为娣。――《尔雅·释亲》。郭璞注:“同 姒sì〈古〉弟妻称兄妻：娣～（妯娌）。 古代称丈夫的嫂子：娣姒（妯娌）
